The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.
Life is filled with joys and sorrows, good times and bad. We are much more than a community, we are a family. In each life a rough patch is bound to happen; By coming together and standing by each other we can navigate through any rough road. It is for this reason the "Angels Without Faces” foundation was formed.
"Angels Without Faces" provides emergency financial assistance to families and individuals who have experienced hardships. Funds are raised through various activities including golf outings, dinners, dances and other community events which focus not only on financing but also to increase awareness and remind all of us all that we are one community.
"Angels With Out Faces" - Anonymously Given, Anonymously Received.
Helping our Community, One Family at a Time.

Developed, maintained, and cultivated for educational purposes, the Leo P. Ostebo Kings Park Heritage Museum's mission is to preserve the town's rich historic past and educate the youth, the community and the public. This two time National Award winning museum, under the supervision of the KPCSD, has maintained independence by soliciting no funds or work from the school district. Along with Leo, these individuals saved this town's history and heritage and planted deep roots to strengthen the future. For every person inscribed there are 4 - 5 times as many volunteers who have provided numerous helping hands moments. The museum has become an educational path denoting how we arrived at what we are today. May this path always indicate nothing but the best!
The mission of our coalition is to serve the community of Kings Park and the surrounding areas by acting as a public information resource against the sale, use and proliferation of illegal drugs that are targeted to our youth. We also work to prevent substance abuse and illegal activity by raising awareness in our community. Our goal is to empower families so they have the tools to raise healthy drug-free children.
